Cultivating an attitude of Gratitude is a valuable daily practice. 

In my experience it has created awareness, appreciation and momentum in my life.

Day 1

What do I have?

...for me this can be everything from the roof over my head and food in my fridge, to my children and my Health. 

Day 2

What's new?

....I am reminded that we can re-set and re-start at any time of the day, week, month or year! This alleviates pressure and allows me to see each day as a GIFT.

Day 3

What are my challenges?

....when I reflect (and sometimes in the moment) I can see how the challenges I've encountered have shaped me and who I am becoming.

At times this can be tricky and does require (for me) a large amount of acceptance. 

Day 4

What do I enjoy?

...shout out to my book club! We met last night to discuss our secret santa book swaps. I really enjoyed mine. A collection of short stories, written with a festive mystery theme. Also love a box set (one episode is never enough) And visiting the Theatre dahhling xx

Day 5

What have I learned?

...people come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. I am grateful for all of these encounters, experiences and relationships.

How do I express myself?

...I am always expressing myself in thoughts, words and actions.

How do I interact with the natural world?

...through observation and investigation, awe, wonder and forever learning.

Day 8

What's the weather like?

...I haven't always, though I truly do, love and appreciate the rain. It sounds, smells and feels different in different parts of the world.

Day 9

What and Who makes me laugh?

...the context in which something is said can and does make a difference to the way it's perceived.

Laughter is great medicine that supports your health and wellbeing!

Day 10

How do I regard my body?

...for me it's an ever changing relationship, phasing through deep admiration - unfamiliarity - respect. My body is made from the foods I eat, the air I breathe, the emotions I feel and the thoughts I think.

Day 11

How have I been courageous?

...solo travelling abroad multiple times, going to University, giving birth to my children, becoming self employed, moving home, asking for help. 

Day 12

Do I like to give / receive?

...hugs are magical, they transfer energy and transform our

e-motions. In giving a hug we also receive a hug.

Day 13

What or Where is Home?

...having personal space, somewhere to store and house the things that are meaningful to me. A roof over my head, safety and warmth.

Having moved home several times during my life, home for me is not a place, or a building, it's what I create. 

Day 14

Where do I find community?

...in my local area, and also via online connections.

Through mutual purpose driven projects and shared interests.

When have you endured?

....weathered and a little rough around the edges.

Lines, scars, blemishes and imperfections gathered through the experience of time. Opportunities for reflection, for growth and to furnish the toolbox.
